Wasps, types and popularity

Wasps in the world are over five thousand species. They are stinging insects that feed according to their kind , with nectar and as well with other insects. The most typical species of pests in our country are the European wasps, the ordinary wasps, vegetable, leaf, fruit and paper wasps. In our country, the European yellow wasp, called also German is the most often met.

Wasps are the ancestor of the honeybee. Although they do not produce honey all wasps have an important function for the pollination and for the destruction of green crop pests. The bad reputation of the wasps comes mainly because of their skills to sting. Stings are painful and dangerous in the presence of allergy to their poison.
