Mouse
The mouse is a kind of small rodent from the Mice family. They always live near human settlements and the human. They are used as laboratory mice, often genetically modified for the purpose of biological and medical researches.
Mice, types and popularity
Globally, the types of mice are over 600, and in our country there are found mainly four types of mice:house mice, forest mice, field mice (voles) and paddy field mice. Some mice, like the white ones are decorative and are kept for pets. There are other species of the Mice family in our country, as steppe, skipping mice and others. However, the most common pests in Bulgaria are the house mice.
The house mice live near homes, commercial structures in open fields and farmland. Mice consume and contaminate food, seeds and green crop.
The attack of mice leads to large agricultural and property damages. Housebound mice are dangerous vectors of disease pathogens and parasites. And mice often cause fires, damaging electrical installations and wiring in the buildings.
