The adult bed bugs are 4-5mm long, wingless, mahogany-brown color. They have long well-developed legs which they use to attach firmly to the body of a living organism from which they feed. They also have two "antennas" over the eyes. Bedbugs lay 2-3 eggs per day, and because their life lasts many weeks and even months, a female bedbug can lay in its life up to 400-500 eggs.

They are small, white or pale yellow in color and about 1 mm long.The nymph, which hatches from the egg after about 10 days at a temperature of 22 degrees Celsius is a small version of the adult bug and also feed on blood. Bed bug is found worldwide in proximity to humans. They live in human dwellings.
